Sensory processing sensitivity does not moderate the relationship between need satisfaction, motivation and behavioral engagement in primary school students

چکیده
Sensory processing sensitivity (SPS) is a trait characterized by stronger to the environment, both for better and worse. The present study used Self-Determination Theory (SDT) judge this environment in terms of basic psychological needs met school context. This aimed gain insights into moderating role SPS relationship between students' need satisfaction, motivation behavioral engagement. A total 1253 primary students aged 8 13 participated. All completed questionnaires assessing degree SPS, satisfaction (autonomy, competence relatedness), (intrinsic, extrinsic amotivation) Results revealed that did not moderate or Our findings show does appear influence positive negative effects satisfaction. benefit from higher including those with SPS.
